Dodge Ram R/T Concept by Mopar to debut at SEMA
The Mopar division of Chrysler LLC is now ready to reveal a customized model of the range-topping Ram R/T at the 2008 SEMA, the world’s largest aftermarket trade show scheduled for this November in Las Vegas. The new car gets a 5.7L HEMI V8 powered with 390 HP and reaches 96 km/h in 5.6 seconds. The new Dodge Ram receives a full bodykit conversion meaning a dual snorkel aluminium hood with carbon fiber accent strips and a hard tonneau complete with an integrated spoiler. In terms of looks the car features a set of 22inch machine forged alloy wheels wrapped in 285/45R22 front and 305/40R22 rear tires and a lower suspension.

For the first time, Audi Sport will offer a racing sports car specifically developed for customer use in the form of the powerful 500 hp plus GT3 version of the Audi R8 which will be available from autumn 2009. The logistics and factory space required for the AUDI AG customer programme will be created over the next few months in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and Györ.

By its production in forged technology, this variation of the well-known HAMANN rim HM EVO could be even reduced further in weight. A front wheel rim measuring 8.5 x 20 inches only weighs 11 kilograms. The rim which has been especially adjusted to the style and needs of the current BMW fleet, combines modern design with the highest technical requirements. After fitting this one-piece light alloy wheel, not only the handling, but also the acceleration and braking characteristics of the vehicle are improved by reducing the unsprung masses.
Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) is well known for its ability to take fast Mopars-such as the Dodge Viper-and make them go faster. The all-new Challenger SRT8 has just hit the streets with its 6.1L Hemi V-8 and in traditional fashion HPE already has performance upgrade packages available. Despite packing 425 hp, HPE knew that many Dodge Challenger SRT8 buyers would want improved power and performance to make their new hot rods even hotter. Now Challenger owners can have Viper and ZR1-like power in the form of 620 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.
Alfa Romeo’s awesome Alfa 8C Competizione supercar has scooped the award for Best Design of the Year in Auto Express’s 2008 New Car Honours. The announcement came after more than 4000 Auto Express readers voted in the category, putting the Italian 4.7 V8 head and shoulders above its rivals.
