Bmw 7-Series Active Hybrid Concept breaks cover


The 2008 Bmw 7-Series is already a state-of-the-art vehicle combining the latest technologies with the luxury that the 7-Series accustomed us. Today the German manufacturer revealed its latest concept based on the Bmw 7-Series called Concept 7 Series ActiveHybrid which is using most advanced hybrid technology available today. According to the manufacturer the new concept provides both fuel consumption and emissions by 15 per cent less than the same car with a combustion engine. The vehicle combines the 8-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor developing 15 kW/20 hp and maximum torque of 210 Newton-metres/155 lb-ft as a mild hybrid concept. Peugeot Prologue Concept breaks cover


Peugeot revealed the second concept of the Hybrid GT, the Prologue Concept, which is considered a preview of the new 3008 MPV. Although the 3008 MPV is still under construction it was already seen on the streets. The hybrid engine will be capable of 200HP delivering in the same time CO2 emission of 109g/km. The Prologue Concept displays an innovative combination of ideas at different levels with the hybrid engine along with its high-tech equipment, style, interior and architecture.



Four Mercedes GLK COncepts to debut at SEMA


It looks like Mercedes is preparing quite a show at the 2008 SEMA due to the four concepts that will be revealed there. First of all we have the RENNtech Rally Racer, inspired by the unlimited-class rally cars at the storied Pikes Peak Hillclimb, then we have the BRABUS Widestar, developed by Mercedes-Benz tuning experts Brabus. After these we can see the Four Corners Rock Crawler and the Urban Whip, which unveiled quite a design for the X3 rival.



Porsche releases first Panamera Gran Turismo teaser


Finally, today we could get a teaser of the Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo. Of course we can see just the ”nose” of the vehicle but one thing is clearly: it is a Porsche! Although the manufacturer didn’t announce it there are great chances to see the new Panamera at the Paris Motor Show, but of course, this still remains a rumor!

Paris Motor Show: Ssangyong C200 SUV Concept breaks cover


Days go by and the 79th edition of Paris Motor Show is getting closer and closer. The car manufacturers know that and they begin unveiling their concepts that will make the debut at the international auto show. After yesterday we saw the Renault Ondelios Concept and the Mercedes-Benz ConceptFascination Design Study, today Ssangyong, the South Korean manufacturer unveiled their C200 Concept, a compact SUV that will be fitted with a Euro 5 engine connected to a six-speed transmission and a new, intelligent AWD system.



Paris Motor Show: Mercedes-Benz ConceptFASCINATION design study


The new ConceptFASCINATION design study represents actually a preview of the future Mercedes E-Class, underlining the new design of the German manufacturer. Mercedes refreshed with this concept the term of “shooting brake” creating a vehicle category with its own distinctive charisma. Regarding the technology used, Mercedes used only the latest things such as LED technology and the new four-cylinder diesel engine which features BlueTEC and AdBlue technology is capable to develop 204 hp from a displacement of 2.2 litres, just like the engine used by the C250 CDI BlueEfficiency.



Paris Motor Show: Renault Ondelios Concept unveiled


If you happen to visit the Paris Motor Show this October then a new concept car of Renault will sure get your attention- Ondelios, an eco friendly vehicle. The car is more oriented to comfort and style than speed and performance, reaching 4.8 m long and 1.6m high. The car features aluminum-finish grille which is flanked by headlamp units suggesting flowing motion and high-performance LED headlights longer lasting and more efficient. An attraction point are the tail lights, with a boomerang shape and built into the bodywork and ringed with air extractors to control the flow of air from the wheel arches.



Paris Motor Show: Mini Crossover Concept


What you see in the photos is maybe the longest Mini ever built. With over four meters in lenght and measuring 1,8 meters in width, the new car opens a new chapter in the history of Mini. Like the Mini Clubman, the Mini Crossover Concept is not a four- door in the classic sense, a conventional arrangement of doors is to be found only on the front passenger’s side, while on the driver’s side the the vehicle comes with a conventional door for the first row of seats plus a lift/sliding door moving along the outside for convenient access to the rear and for loading the car from the side. And by dropping the B-pillar on the driver’s side, the Mini Crossover Concept exhausts the potential of this generous opening to an even higher degree. Frameless side windows, finally, are yet another feature of this truly exceptional four-door.



Chevrolet Orlando Concept unveiled before the Paris Motor Show


Although the Paris Motor Show is in October, GM couldn’t wait and unveiled today the Chevrolet Orlando, a new concept based on the recently announced all-new Cruze compact sedan. The new vehicle has a muscular stance that gives it the appearance of a sport utility vehicle, yet it offers dynamic ride and handling, excellent fuel efficiency and easy entry thanks to its car-based architecture. At the interior, Orlando is designed to meet the needs of families and those who need plenty of seating capacity with adaptable, theater-style seating in three rows comfortably accommodating up to seven occupants.
