Porsche releases first Panamera Gran Turismo teaser


Finally, today we could get a teaser of the Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo. Of course we can see just the ”nose” of the vehicle but one thing is clearly: it is a Porsche! Although the manufacturer didn’t announce it there are great chances to see the new Panamera at the Paris Motor Show, but of course, this still remains a rumor!



Audi Q7 V12 TDI breaks cover


Finally, the TDI technology from Audi is taken to new heights with the launch of the new Q7 V12 TDI. The new vehicle is a truly masterpiece: the V12 TDI engine develops an astonishing 500 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. Of course all of you may say what’s the deal with this new engine, because with these numbers the it’s not quite an economic vehicle…Unfortunately we have to contradict all of you who thought this, the new Q7 has an average of just 11.3 liters of fuel per 100 km. When it comes to performance the vehicle is a truly sports car: 0-100 km/s sprint is made in just 5.5 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Bad news is that the car is going to be available at the dealers by the end of this year.



Vauxhall Astra ecoFLEX released


Vauxhall has launched its first Astra ecoFLEX with a 1.7 turbo-diesel engine producing CO2 emissions of just 119g/km and fuel consumption of 62.8mpg on the combined cycle. The new model, which will be available in Hatch, Sport Hatch and estate guises, falls into the lowest BIK tax band for company car drivers, while private buyers will only pay £35 per year in Vehicle Excise Duty thanks to its band B credentials.



Audi R8 GT3 version unveiled


For the first time, Audi Sport will offer a racing sports car specifically developed for customer use in the form of the powerful 500 hp plus GT3 version of the Audi R8 which will be available from autumn 2009. The logistics and factory space required for the AUDI AG customer programme will be created over the next few months in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and Györ.



OC.T unveils 550hp Audi S3 Biturbo


The Austrian tuner got it´s hands on a previous-generation Audi S3 and converted the drivetrain from all- to rear-wheel drive. The entire drivetrain has been transfered to the back of the vehicle, to enable fabulous drifting with an extrem fun factor. Results of this massive conversion – a nearly ideal weight distribution of 50 to 50 percent between front and rear. Adding to the fun is the 2.7 liter V6 twin-turbo engine from an Audi RS4, powered up to 550 hp.



Seat Leon by RDX Racedesign


The tuning expert RDX RACEDESIGN supplies the Seat Leon 1P with an even more dynamic radiance. This is enabled by a new aerodynamics kit which turns the Leon even more fiery. At the front, a RDX RACEDESIGN front spoiler bumper “GTI-Five“ for 399 euros renders an impressively sportive appearance. Its middle part has been designed to enable the application of a contrasting colour which allows an even more individual look.



Renault Sandero Stepway


Renault is enriching its vehicle line-up in Mercosur with Renault Sandero Stepway, launched from October in Brazil and then in Argentina. The newcomer’s assertive styling is targeted at sophisticated urban customers looking for a vehicle that sets them apart. Renault Sandero Stepway boasts the same fundamental qualities of roominess and reliability as Renault Sandero, this last quality underscored by a three-year/100,000-km warranty in Brazil.



Alfa 8C Competizione voted for Best Design of the Year


Alfa Romeo’s awesome Alfa 8C Competizione supercar has scooped the award for Best Design of the Year in Auto Express’s 2008 New Car Honours. The announcement came after more than 4000 Auto Express readers voted in the category, putting the Italian 4.7 V8 head and shoulders above its rivals. Auto Express’s judging panel agreed with their verdict.
