Vw VI GTI breaks cover - full details released
In 1976 the Mk I Golf GTI was launched as a low volume addition to the Golf range. Thirty two years, five generations and 1.7 million sales after that car established the breed, the sixth generation of the GTI has been unveiled in concept form ahead of its public debut next month at the Paris Motor Show. The core attributes of the original GTI – sharp dynamics, style and practicality – remain in the new GTI concept. Yet the new car uses the latest advances in drivetrain and chassis technology designed to enhance rather than detract from the purity of the driving experience.

Fiat 500 revealed a special edition of the little Italian automobile made in cooperation with Renzo Rosso brand, dubbed the Fiat 500 by DIESEL. Although the car is already for sale the 10,000 pieces limited edition will be out of production no sooner than 2010. Inspired by the sport version of the car, the new model will be available with 3 engines: the 1.2 with 69 bhp, the 1.3 Multijet 75 bhp with DPF and the 1.4 16v 100 bhp. The car will feature green paint finish, 16inch alloy wheels signed by DIESEL, yellow brake calipers and five rear airs inlets. The price varies between 15,000 and 17,000 Euros, depending on the engine chosen.
For those who don’t know, Dinan is a well-known tuning house specialized in Bmw vehicles. After the Bmw 335i Coupe, Dinan choose its bigger brother, the 535i in order to increase the performances of the stylish saloon. According to the manufacturer, the Dinan Performance Engine Software increases the turbo-boost pressure from the stock 8.8 to 13.0 psi, producing a maximum output of 384 horsepower at 5700 rpm! As always, the warranty for the kit is valid for up to 4 years or 50,000 miles, including the possibility of consequential damages.
The 2008 Bmw 7-Series is already a state-of-the-art vehicle combining the latest technologies with the luxury that the 7-Series accustomed us. Today the German manufacturer revealed its latest concept based on the Bmw 7-Series called Concept 7 Series ActiveHybrid which is using most advanced hybrid technology available today. According to the manufacturer the new concept provides both fuel consumption and emissions by 15 per cent less than the same car with a combustion engine. The vehicle combines the 8-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor developing 15 kW/20 hp and maximum torque of 210 Newton-metres/155 lb-ft as a mild hybrid concept. Although the Ferrari California was revealed few moths ago, the Prancing Horse decided that the world premiere of its latest coupe cabriolet will be this evening. More than 100 special guests will take place at the presentation, among them being Michael Schumacher and the Scuderia Ferrari drivers, Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa.
It seems that Citroen is trying to revive is image in the world of sports car. The main evidence is the new teaser Citroen launched, in order to reveal its intentions in launching a brand new GT. Although we can’t see big deal due to the red cover, we could take a peak and understood that the vehicle features the latest LED technology and a really stylish silhouette. According to our sources the Citroen GT will make its official debut in October, at the Paris Motor Show.
